The distinctive form of the KV-II is accurately recreated, including the oversized turret and 152mm howitzer. Separate parts are used to recreate details such as spare tanks, tools, storage boxes and more. Belt type tracks make for a realistic and fuss-free finish. The kit comes with a full body figure and various turret slogan markings in Russian.
The KV-II “Gigant”, the 152mm howitzer-equipped assault gun developed by the Soviet Union in response to difficulties in breaking reinforced bunkers during the Winter War (1939-1940). It was developed using the KV-I as a base. In effect, it took the place of an SPG, and had a distinctively tall turret to house the howitzer. Around 200 examples were built.
