The Volvo F-16 is a very common base for a variety of reefer trucks. Generally those trucks are used with trailer for long distance transport and without trailer for local distribution. The cooling-unit is normally located in front of the reefer container. Volvo offers these trucks with 2 series of engines ranging from 12-16 litres and from 340-520 HP. In most cases the containers are built by specialized manufacturers, taking account of the various customer needs, which makes them different in many details.
