In 1994 Volvo received the Truck of the Year award for its new FH-12/16 series. The most important criteria for this award were a modern, economical engine, safe drivers cabin and powerful brakes. The Globetrotter is the most popular version of these trucks, featuring a high cabin including a comfortable sleepercab.The FH-series can be equipped with either 12 or 16 litre engines with outputs of 340 to 520 HP. In order to save fuel, when hauling high volume trailers, all FH cabins have adjustable spoilers.
