A new model announced 2011

Model of the BR covered hopper wagon design developed in the 1950s for bulk powder products which could easily be loaded and discharged through hoppers by needed good weather protection in transit. Typical loads included salt, soda ash and dry sand.

This model is lettered for British Industrial Sand (BIS), suppliers of consistant quality sand for glass making. Wagons working for BIS remained in service into the 1980s.
