The new employed elements of a built-in dynamic defense able to counter both kinetic energy and shaped-charge rounds. Additionally, the vehicle was equipped with the laser-guided 9K119 ‘Reflex’ missile system. Although the weight of the T-80UD was increased to 46 tons, the engineers managed to retain the tank’s excellent riding characteristics.

 more | Zvezda 1/35 Soviet Light Truck GAZ-AA (3602) On 29th January 1932 the first GAZ-AA truck was manufactured. This truck would finish the war as the most mass produced in the world. This 1.5 ton capacity truck was affectionately nick named "Polutorka" ("Poltora" meaning one and a half in Russian). The truck became a legend together with the T-34 and Katyusha rocket launcher. It was incredibly durable running on low octane fuel easily maintained in the field with excellent allterrain capabilities. The "Polutorka" truly earned its status as one of the great victory symbols of the Great Patriotic war.

Production of the BA-10 armored car started in 1938. Built on the basis of the GAZ-AAA three axle truck the body consisted of rolled armor plate. The rear hull was equiped with a turret mounting a 45mm gun paired with a 7.62mm machine gun. Another 7.62mm machine gun was mounted next to the driver. BA-10s were used widely by Soviet forces during the war with Finland in 1940 and on the Eastern front throught WW2. Ther German army captured a large number of BA-10s and used them as command and scout vehicles.
