AFV 1/35 German LeFh18M 10.5cm Howitzer (AF35S24)
The model can be made either in its transport or firing mode and has a barrel made of
aluminium. also it has both types of wheels. This howitzer was one of the only anti tank
guns in the German arsenal capable of dealing with Russian T34, KV1 and KVII tanks.
The German army command asked for an improvement of the light field howitzer 16, the answer was the LeFH18M. Overall an orthodox design, it had the same 10.5 Calibre as its predecessor, with a barrel lenght of 2941mm, and used a split trail with folding spades and a hydro pneumatic recoil system. It was designed to use either wooden or pressed steel wheels and could be horse drawm or towed by a wheeled or halftrack. This Modified version increased the maximum firing range to 12,325 metres and served with frontline units from 1940.
