Which brings us to the matter of Dragon’s fantastic fully built-up Elefant. This 1/35 scale model represents an Elefant serving with 1./s.Pz.Abt.653 in Italy in 1944. This is Dragon’s very first pre-assembled plastic Elefant with some metal parts and much effort has gone into investing this collectors’ item with all the relevant Elefant characteristics. The impressive model is beautifully finished in a two-tone camouflage scheme, enhanced by a subtle degree of weathering. The tracks are accurate and have the appropriate level of sag, plus the tow cables possess an extremely realistic metallic look. There are also working features such as a rotating frontal machine gun and a main gun barrel that elevates and depresses. These details all add up to one stunning pre-assembled 1/35 tank destroyer from Dragonmore.. | |

As with the previous limited edition Elefant, this is a superb collectors’ piece. The unblemished paint scheme is realistically weathered to represent an Elefant fighting on the Eastern Front in 1944. The lifelike tracks have just the right degree of sag, while the hull machine gun is moveable. The long barrel (or should we say trunk?) of the Elefant also elevates and depresses. This fully assembled model bears a host of remarkable features and with such a fine specimen as this, the survival of the Elefant species is assured!more.. | |

It took 300,000 man hours to produce just one Tiger I tank (approximately double that required for a Panther), but what a tank it was! Its two principal strengths were its main gun, an 8.8cm KwK 36 L/56 and its armour of rolled homogenous nickel-steel plate. Responding to popular demand, Dragon Armor has announced another spectacular fully built-up Tiger I tank in 1/35 scale. This new arrival is a Late Production variant, meaning it has characteristic features like steel road wheels and a monocular sight in the mantlet to the right of the gun barrel.
