Top Model 1/43 Maserati 450S Millie Miglia 57 (TMC132)

The Mille Miglia (Thousand Miles - pronounced "mee-lay meel-yah") was an open-road endurance race which took place in Italy twenty-four times from 1927 to 1957 (thirteen before the war, eleven from 1947). Moss returned to the Mille Miglia in 1957, again teamed with Jenkinson. This time they would drive a 400 bhp Maserati that had a top speed of over 200 mph! Not to be out done, Ferrari produced a model with almost 450 bhp to be driven by Collins and Taruffi. The winner surly must come from one of these three cars. They would be last to leave Brescia. Seven miles out Moss suffered a broken brake pedal and his race was done.

nice model finished in bright red, beautiful fine scale aluminium wheels with treaded tyres, although a lovely looking model the exhaust lets it down slightly but great value, model length approx 9.8cm
