The 2.4GHz transmitter has 2 settings. Like a traditional RC car you can use the throttle and steering normally but when you enter scale mode it has optional digital gears. Gears 1-5 are indicated by LED lights on the transmitter and each limit the power as you use them. Set it in first gear and get used to the controls then 'let it rip' as your power increases when you go up the gears!
