Revell 1/18 Triumph TR4 Diecast Model Car (08827)
In 1952, the Standard Triumph company of Coventry under the then director Sir John Black, showed their first sports car, the prototype 2OTS, at the Earls Court Motor Show in London. Series production of a modified design with improved technology began in 1953. The car, from then on known as the TR2, sold successfully. The sportiness and reliability of the new product was underpinned by numerous successes in races and rallies. This was followed in 1956 by the almost identical TR3, in 1958 after a face-lift, by the TR3A and then from 1961 onwards by the technically improved TR3B. The Triumph TR4 was exhibited in September 1961 as the successor to the cramped but sporty TR3A. It represented an attempt to leave the competition trailing behind by means of a readiness to innovate that was out of the ordinary. The external appearance of the TR4 alone indicated that it was not simply a further development of its predecessors. The Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti styled a new metal body shell to fit over the widened chassis of the previous model

Minichamps 1/18 Morris Minor 2 Door 1963 Lilac Ltd (137001)
The revolutionary Morris Minor (the prototype was called Mosquito) was launched at the Earls Court Motor Show on 20 September, 1948. Named for an earlier Morris Minor car , it was the work of a team led by Alec Issigonis, who later designed the Mini. Sir Alec became famous for his creation of the Mini but he was really proudest of his participation in designing the Morris Minor. He considered it as being a vehicle which managed to combine many of the luxuries and conveniences of a good motor car with a price suitable for the working classes, while the Mini, introduced in 1959, was a spartan mode of conveyance with everything cut to the bone. The Morris Minor, when compared with competitor products in the late 1940s and throughout the 1950s, excelled as a roomy vehicle with superior cornering / handling characteristics.more..

Minichamps 1/18 Morris Minor Police Car Blue & White Two Tone (137090)
Alec Issigonis’ Morris Minor, with its modern design outlook, incorporation rack-and-pinion steering and independent torsion-bar suspension, became highly popular with police forces across the country. By 1962 with the 1098cc engine, a top speed of 70mph made it popular with traffic divisions of the London Met’, yet independent suspension made it ideal for rural policing.

Minichamps 1/18 Morris Minor Cabriolet 1959 Blue (150 137030)
The Morris Minor, designed by Alec Issigonis, was the outstanding economy car of the post-war era. The open tourer a most collectable version. It was an ideal family car with its rack-and-pinion steering and torsion-bar independent suspension, it had superb handling, while modern unitary construction and smooth styling made the Minor seem ultra-modern after the warmed-over pre-war cars that British motorists had been used to.

Signature Models 1/18 Jaguar XK120 Hardtop Silver (18120S)
The Jaguar XK120 was manufactured between 1949 and 1954. It was the first post-war sports car from the marque, succeeding the SS100 which ended production in 1940 with the start of the war in Britain. The XK120 was launched at the 1948 London Motor Show as a test bed and show vehicle to highlight the new Jaguar XK engine. The car caused a sensation, which persuaded William Lyons to put it into production as a standard model. The first cars manufactured in 1948 and 1949 had hand built aluminum bodies on an ash frame. Jaguar built 240 of these alloy bodied cars prior to moving to a more mass production XK120 in order to meet the demand for this popular model. With the 1950 model year a production version had a steel pressed body with alloy doors, bonnet, and trunk skin. Other features included torsion bar front suspension, and a removable windscreen.more..

Signature Models 1/18 1938 Mercedes Benz 770 K Cabriolet Pullman Black (18135/B)
The 1938 Mercedes Benz 770 SK Pullman limo was the first Grand Mercedes to feature an oval tubular frame, independent suspension and hydraulic brakes. This evolutionary 770 was stretched 40 centimetres to 6 meters in length, its wheelbase was 3.88 meters. Since its debut in the autumn of 1930 at the Paris Automobile Show, the sensational appointments and exquisite finish helped the 770 to find itself in the fleets of many aristocratic courts and government leaders around the world. It was big and sold for big money (the price was equivalent to that of a single-family home in Germany). When equipped with armour plating (a much requested option as those who rode inside became less popular), the vehicle weighed as much as 4,800 kilograms, which required a supercharger to be added to the straight-eight 7.6 litre engine, boosting the motor's output to 230 horsepower. By 1938, the supercharger had become standard equipment and could produce a top speed of 170 kilometres per hour; however, the armoured versions were limited to 80 km/h because of the bullet proof cell-type tires.more..

Maisto 1/18 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1968 Diecast car Model (31066)

The Camaro was initially advertised on Top 40 AM radio stations of the day in an attempt to woo the young adult market. Although it was technically a compact car (by the standards of the time), Camaro may also be classified as an intermediate touring car, a sports car, or a muscle car.Though the car's name was contrived with no meaning, GM researchers reportedly found the word in a French dictionary as a slang term for "friend" or "companion." The Automotive press asked Chevrolet product managers "What is a Camaro?", and they were told it was "a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs.

During this transition, production was also moved from Düsseldorf to Ingolstadt where Audi still have their production. From 1957, these cars could be fitted with an optional saxomat, an automatic clutch and, at the time it was the only small car offering this feature. The last versions of the AU1000S also had disk brakes as option, an early development for this technology. Road Signature/Road Legends 1/18 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Gunmetal Diecast Model (DC42703)

I started out with an idea to build a sports car powered by an American V8 at a time when most European sports cars were being imported with four-cylinder 1918 taxi cab engines.I went to AC Cars, because they had an available chassis, and i went to see Lee laccoca at Ford for a little money and a couple of engines to help me get started. We never dreamed we'd build a car to win the world championship and everything else, or become the legend it has.The Cobra has become the most replicated car there has ever been.I think that says it all right there.

Revell 1/18 Triumph Stag Blue Diecast Model (08815)
The story of the Triumph stag begins in the mid nineteen sixties, when Harry Webster, the Triumph technical director, provided the couturier Michelotti with a prototype Triumph 2000 that had been used extensively during the 24 hour race at Le Mans in 1964. The talented Italian had asked for a model in Great Britain in order to redesign it in accordance with his own ideas. When, at the beginning of 1966, Webster visited his friend he was enthused by Michelotti's design, but it was not until two years later that the management of the firm decided to produce the 2+2 seat cabriolet. The Leyland company who owned the Triumph planned to use the V8 engine from their own sister company Rover. However when it became clear that Rover would not be able to supply the required quantity, before he left in 1968, Webster initiated the development of the Triumph V8 engine from a combination of two 4-cylinder engines. When the Triumph Stag went into production in 1970, its appearance had in the meantime been altered in some respects. For safety reasons the frame of the windscreen was now linked to the B pillar by a T-shaped roll bar and the radiator grille had obviously been simplified. This caused the Stag to attract attention at various motor shows. Its 2997 cc V8 engine delivered 145 bhp and gave it a top speed of about 195 km/h. The Stag accelerated from 0 to 100 in 9.5 seconds. Unfortunately this top-of-the-range sports car had some engine problems to overcome and by 1977 production had ceased.

Revell 1:18 VW Kafer 1302 S Green (09019)
The worldwide sales in excess of 21 million Beetles have given rise, over time, to a multiplicity of body modifications and numerous model variants. How-ever, prominent features such as its rounded shape have been retained. Thus, the year 1970 marked a turning point in Beetle product policy. With the completely redesigned type 1302 (1.2 and 1.3 litre engine) and 1302 S (1.6 litre version) a completely new line was created. The 1971 model has, as standard, the semi-trailing arm rear suspension that became familiar on the automatic version, giving it a technically extravagant chassis. In addition the greater height of the engine required a more marked curve to the bonnet. The new horizontally opposed 1584 cc engine with twin port cylinder head delivers a good 50 bhp, giving the 1302 S tremendous tractive power. The redesigned front conceals a transverse arm and spring strut type suspen-sion. The new front axle with McPherson struts has enabled the boot space to be increased to a proud 260 litres. Another attractive external feature had also appeared: an extra vent behind the rear side window. At 870 kg, the light-weight 1302 S offered a top speed of 130 km/h. Apart from the fact that the 1302 S was the most comfortable Beetle so far, this model was crowned with yet another success: on 17.02.1972 the 15,007,034th Beetle, a 1302 S, rolled off the line. The world record for the best-selling car ever, previously held by the legendary Ford T model, had been broken.
