Hornby OO R3564 BR 48045 ex-LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 with Fowler Tender BR Black Late Crest

A detailed model of the Stanier class 8F 2-8-0 heavy goods locomotive 480458 painted in the later British Railways plain black livery with later lion holding wheel crest. Several Stanier 8F locos were still employed in the last months of steam on British Railways in the summer of 1968. Despite being designed by Sir William Stanier many of these goods engines ran with older Fowler tenders which are noticeably narrower than the locomotive cab.
