Dragon's expanding range of superb detailed models made in plastic for maximum detail definition and some metal parts. Finished in authentic camouflage schemes, tracks are one piece rubber giving a good effect and comes in its own plastic display box inside a cardboard outer. Most have rotable turrets and a gun that elevates. Fine detail incudes ropes, shackles and tools carried on the chassis, plus smoke dischargers, machine guns and external petrol tanks appropriate for the model. Best of all these models are pre-painted with sharp, accurate and authentic camouflage and realistic weathering.
Dragon Armor 1/72 Nashorn 3./s.H.Pz.Jg.Abt.88, Eastern Front, Autumn 1944 (60188)
The rhinoceros, a native of Africa, is identifiable by its mighty and dangerous horn. On the other hand, a Nashorn (German for rhinoceros) is identifiable by its long and lethal 88mm Pak 43/1 L/71 gun. When the earlier Hornisse tank hunter (a Panzer IV reincarnated with an 88mm gun mounted centrally in a lightly armored superstructure) was modified with this newer gun and a revised driver s front plate, it also received the new name of Nashorn, at Hitler s request. Dragon Armor has proudly introduced its first ever model version of this German vehicle, and it possesses the powerful stance of the real vehicle. All the detail and characteristics of the Nashorn are present, and it is painted in a two-tone camouflage scheme with a distinctive unit insignia of 3./s.H.Pz.Jg.Abt.88 fighting on the Eastern Front in the autumn of 1944. This brand new item is finely weathered, and as a special novelty, in every sixth Nashorn produced, there will be one with its barrel held in the barrel clamp. The German Army s Nashorn was one mighty tank killer, and Dragon Armor s Nashorn is one magnificent tank model!
