Dragon's expanding range of superb detailed models made in plastic for maximum detail definition and some metal parts. Finished in authentic camouflage schemes, tracks are one piece rubber giving a good effect and comes in its own plastic display box inside a cardboard outer. Most have rotable turrets and a gun that elevates. Fine detail incudes ropes, shackles and tools carried on the chassis, plus smoke dischargers, machine guns and external petrol tanks appropriate for the model. Best of all these models are pre-painted with sharp, accurate and authentic camouflage and realistic weathering.

Dragon Armor 1/72 German Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Tank Hunter with Schurzen (60262)
he Jagdpanzer IV L/70 was a modified version of the original tank hunter, being based on
the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H or J tank chassis. It was fitted with a 75mm PaK 42 L/70 gun
without a muzzle brake and a solitary MG42. The main gun could traverse 12 to the left and
right and it had an elevation of -7 to +15 . Dragon Armor has released this next Jagdpanzer
IV L/70 Late Production version, representing a vehicle from an unidentified unit. It is
adorned in a three-tone camouflage scheme consisting of bold stripes and is tastefully
weathered, as demonstrated by the lifelike look of the tracks. The 1/72 scale model is
fitted with a full set of side skirts and has the late style of exhaust muffler. Collectors
will want to be cognizant of the fact that, like the previous model, this is a strictly
limited edition. This model vehicle is set to again be a popular item, so collectors will
need to be quick to ensure they get their hands on one. This Guderian s Duck (as it was
nicknamed) will not be a sitting duck !
Weighing 25.8 tons, the Late Version of Germany s Jagdpanzer packed a lethal punch with its 7.5cm PaK42 L/70 gun. It was designed exclusively as a tank hunter, its low profile and powerful armament ensured it was successful in this role. The Late model had two steel-rimmed wheels at the first two wheel stations, because of the failure of earlier rubber-tired wheels due to the increased weight of extra armor. All these details, along with the three (instead of four) return rollers are present on Dragon Armor s latest model of the Jagdpanzer IV. The model is made even more unique with its special winter camouflage scheme of overall white with yellow splotches . This tank-hunter was rushed into combat to try and stem the tide of Red Army tanks closing in on Hungary in 1945. Ultimately, that desperate defense failed - but this Dragon collector s model is a complete success, thanks to its attention to detail, plus its superb painted and weathered finish!
