A new train set for 2012 featuring a former GWR pannier tank locomotive painted in the London Transport locomotive red livery hauling a train of two  engineering wagons and complemented by one of the BR design brake vans owned by LT.

London Transport purchased several GWR pannier tank engines from Britsih Railways to replace their much older locomotives used for engineering work on the Underground system. The pannier tanks fitted within the structure gauge for most of the Metropolitan and District lines through London and the above ground sections of other lines. The locomotives remained in service until the early 1970s, resulting in many of them 'retiring' directly to a third career on heritage steam railways!

This train set is supplied with an oval of track and a speed controller with a UK mains power plug.

Bachmann OO Western Rambler Passenger Train Set 3205 (30-052)

An excellent starter train set featuring an ex-GWR Collett design 0-6-0 goods locomotive 3205 painted in the British Railways lined green passenger livery and two ex-GWR corridor passenger coaches. The Collett 0-6-0 was a highly capable locomotive with a free steaming boiler and comfortably enclosed cab, making them popular with crews! The class were used on stopping passenger and light goods trains on many secondary routes in the South West of England, including the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton and later the former Somerset and Dorset Railway routes.

This train set contains an oval of track and a useful point, providing a useful siding to store extra rolling stock and a UK 240-Volt AC mains-powered speed controller.
Basic track layout measures 1300 x 940mm, approx 4ft3in x 3ft1in.

This OO gauge train set track bundle contains a Peco ST100 starter track pack and a Bachmann 36-560 DC train controller. Just select a locomotive, plus coaches and wagons from our extensive stock for a unique train set!

The track supplied in the starter pack includes two points and can be assembled in many different ways to form an oval of track with a loop or sidings. A Peco Setrack Planbook is provided, full of layout plan ideas.

This bundle can also be used as an add-on to a train set, careful arrangement of the extra track using a straight section to make the loop wider and you can add an outer oval, with the extra control unit needed to operate a second train.
