Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The loco's and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powered controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled.

Hornby OO Virgin Trains HST Train Set (R1080)

An excellent bargain priced train set from Hornby featuring HST locomotive 43087 in Hornby red livery. The HST 125 train is completed with two passenger coaches and a dummy power car in Virgin trains livery.

The train set is completed with an oval of track plus track pack A, allowing a siding to be added to the layout. Track measures 1470mm x 990mm (58in x 39in)

The track that comes with this set is the Starter Oval plus Track Pack A to provide a siding. The power and dummy car lights illuminate in the direction of travel.
