Both Hornby and Bachmann sets use standard OO/HO track which is compatible - either may be expanded with either Hornby or Peco track. The locos and rolling stock are also compatible as the couplings are very alike and will connect without problem. Both use a mains powered controller providing a 12v variable speed supply for one locomotive. Unless stated otherwise they are ready to run once assembled. Hornby OO North Eastern Steam Set Radio Control Train Set (R1030)
This North Eastern Steam train set is unique
when compared to the other Hornby train sets in the range. With this set, everything is
included to give you total independent control of two trains on two separate circuits using
hand held radio control transmitters.
This set comprises of 2x locomotives, 3x wagons and 2x coaches, and a twin track layout
with points, double level crossing, and a full colour scenic-effect TrakMat that shows off
the layout from the bird's eye perspective. The twin track circuits and the two sidings are
simply laid out on the mat, the receiver buildings are connected to the track and with the
trains in place it's all systems go for the start of a great model train adventure.
Additional buildings, signals, trees and other scenic material can be added at a later
date to further enhance this Magnum train set.
Requires 2 x 9v batteries for radio control.
