Corgi 1/32 Messerschmitt 109G-2 Black 6 RAF Museum Hendon (AA34909)

One of the most significant historic aircraft to perform on the UK Airshow circuit was Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 'Black 6'. Powered by a genuine Daimler Benz DB605 engine, this magnificent aeroplane captivated audiences with its unique sound and allowed the opportunity to see a genuine Axis fighter in flight!

It was a real show stopper and looked great on the tail of a Spitfire! For an all too brief six year period, 'Black 6', thrilled airshow audiences as the only genuine Axis fighter on the display circuit. Unfortunately, it was decided that it was too valuable an aircraft to be risked in flight demonstration, but on her last public display at Duxford in October 1997, a landing accident caused significant damage to the aircraft, its flying days were finally over. 'Black 6' can now be found on display at the RAF Museum, Hendon.

Corgi 1/32 DH Mosquito FBV1 HX922 EG-F RAF 487 Sqn Grp Capt Pickard Amiens Raid (AA34604)

A superb large scale die-cast metal model of the famous DeHaviland Mosquito, the wooden wonder! Due to an highly advanced aerodynamic design the Mosquito medium bomber proved capable of fighter class speed and manouverability, outclassing many early WW2 fighters and making it ideal for tactical strike incursions in the face of fighter opposition.

This highly detailed model is of a Mosquito FBVI, the main fighter-bomber type, finished as HX922 as flown by Group Captain Percy Pickard DSO(2 bars), DFC on Operation Jericho, the attack on Amiens prison that had the objective of releasing French resistance prisioners.
