Bravo Delta 1/40 Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S2 XV156 Antics Special (ANTBD7)
The finish achieved on this model is just stunning - it oozes quality! Basically an S2 and presented in the livery of of one the aircrafted that bombed the tanker Torrey Canyon when it ran aground on the Seven Sisters reef off the Isles of Sicily. To protect the environment it was decided to attempt to burn off the ships's cargo with air attack as the 'match'.
It's a superb model, measuring 15 - 16" (approx 39cm) in length, has the larger engine nacelles of the S2 but does include the small wing vents present on the S1.

Bravo Delta 1/40 Gloster Gauntlet Antics Special (ANTBD6)
The British Gloster Gauntlet was a single-seat, biplane fighter of the RAF designed and built by Gloster Aircraft in the 1930s. It was the last RAF fighter to have an open cockpit and the penultimate biplane in service. This is a stunning model, with a length of approx 33.5cm (13") and a wing span of 45.5cm. Finished in silver with light blue upper fuselage, black zig-zag pattern on upper wing surface and fuselage sides, this reproduces the livery of Gauntlet Mk. II Reg. K5358 flown by Sqdn. Leader H. Y. Humphreys, No 17 (F) Squadron, Kenley 1937. A brass nameplate is also provided for 17 Squadron. A real gem!
Squadron Leader Humphreys went on to serve or lead in bombers and any information about his wartime career or the aircraft in which he flew would be welcomed by myhumphreys@gmail.com

Bravo Delta 1/40 Hawker Sea Hawk FGA Mk 4 Antics Special (ANTBD2)
A really good desk top model in hand painted solid mahogony of the Sea Hawk that was quite a remarkable aircraft, being Hawker's first jet. With unswept wings, it remained in service long after swept wing fighters had become almost universal. Few models have been made of the Sea Hawk and ours depicts the livery worn at the time of the Suez crisis. This aircraft, WV801, of No. 804 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, was flown by Lt. P. McKeown, RN, aboard HMS Eagle, Mediterranean, 1956. Exclusively produced for Antics and with only 25 made. Fly Navy! A good sized model, measuring 17" long x 15.5" x 2.5" (10" high on the display stand that is included! (432mm x 394mm x 70mm in metric)

Bravo Delta Sea Venom Wooden Display Model (104X)

The deep, rich finish that distinguishes these models from others is created by the application of up to 35 coats of enamel. The artist then hand paints all of the details onto each model. After trials with RAF Venoms the Royal Navy ordered the Sea Venom as a night and all-weather fighter. The first prototype (an NF20, soon redisignated FAW20) flew on 19 April 1951 and the first production aircraft flew on 27 March 1953. The FAW20 was followed by the main production model, the FAW21, which first flew on 22 April 1954. This changed the De Havilland Ghost Mk 103 turbojet of the FAW20 for a Mk 104 and added an AI.21 radar and powered ailerons. During production of the FAW21, ejection seats were added to the design and retro-fitted to all previous aircraft. The final version of the Sea Venom was the FAW22 which had a Ghost Mk 105 turbojet. Some FAW22 were later modified to carry Firestreak AAMs. Sea Venoms served as the Royal Navy's main fleet defence fighter from 1954 and took part in the Suez operation in November 1956, providing air cover for the British Army. By 1960 all front line squadrons had re-equipped with Sea Vixen FAW1 but the Sea Venom continued in a training role until 1970.A total of 50 FAW20, 167 FAW21 and 39 FAW22 were built for the Royal Navy (other sales were to Australia and France)

Bravo Delta 1/70 TSR-2 Tactical Strike Fighter Bomber (103)
Superb display model of the BAC TSR.2, intended to be Britain's premier supersonic, nuclear capable, strategic strike bomber. Although never put into production, the prototype's test reports indicated that the powerful and agile TSR-2 would have been highly capable, easily outpacing contemporary interceptor fighters. Indeed it would have been a challenging adversary for todays fighters. This detailed Bravo Delta replica is hand fashioned from mahogany with an excellent paint finish, including lining around the surface details. Desktop display stand and brass identification plaque included.
The British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2 was to be the supersonic replacement for the Canberra and V-bombers, with enhanced operational capability and updated avionics. The TSR2 emerged as a large shoulder winged aircraft powered by two Bristol Siddely Olympus turbojets, which also powered the Avro Vulcan and later Concorde. On board was a digital computer, Ferranti forward looking radar, EMI side looking radar, Decca Doppler and Smiths air-data system. Processed data was fed though the pilots head up display, navigator's console and weapons fire control system. Twenty aircraft were ordered in 1963 as pre-production testbeds, with the first batch expected to be thirty production aircraft. Export orders were also anticipated from commonwealth countries. The TSR2 was the most advanced military aircraft of it's day with Mach 2.25 performance, but cost and development time overruns began to accumulate. Making its maiden flight from Boscombe Down in September 1964, the aircraft began to display its impressive capabilities. In 1965 a new Labour government was elected and the entire TSR2 project was cancelled. The two completed aircraft remain, one at RAF Cosford and one at the RAF museum in Duxford. Incomplete airframes and construction jigs were destroyed.

Bravo Delta 1/24 Bristol Bulldog Biplane Model (124)
Superb hand crafted readybuilt display model robustly manufactured in wood and finished to a very high standard. Quite a treat for the pre-WW2 aircraft enthusiast. The level of detail achieved in these vintage biplanes is quite outstanding.
The Bristol Bulldog marked a significant change in air force tactical thinking. The Bulldog was designed to be used as an interceptor fighter, possessing the speed and climb rate to reach and engage approaching enemy aircraft without needing to maintain patrols in the air. This makes the Bulldog the direct forerunner of the more famous fighters of the second world war. First entering service in 1929 the Bulldog was itself replaced by the Gloster Gauntlet in 1936; being slower than latest bombers it was obsolete.

The final product is a beautiful authentic wooden aircraft. The use of assault gliders by the British was prompted by the use by Germany of the DFS 230, which was first used in May 1940 to successfully assault the Eben Emael fort in Belgium. Their advantage compared to parachute assault was that the troops were landed together in one place, rather than being dispersed. With around 28 troop seats, the Horsa was much bigger than the 13-troop American Waco CG-4A (known as the Hadrian by the British), and the 8-troop General Aircraft Hotspur glider which was intended for training duties only. As well as troops, the AS.51 could carry a jeep or a 6 pounder anti tank gun.The AS.58 or Horsa II had a hinged nose section, reinforced floor and double nose wheels to support the extra weight of vehicles. The tow was attached to the nose-wheel strut, rather than the dual wing points of the Horsa I.

Bravo Delta 1/48 Bristol Beaufighter (094)
Hand crafted from Mahogany this large display model of the Bristol Beaufighter displays the RAF 'night fighter' black paint scheme. Model is supplied with separate propellers and display stand.
Developed during the 1930's from the Bristol Beaufort and Blenheim types the Beaufighter was a heavily armed fighter with long range for bomber escort and night fighting duty. Powered by two of the new Hercules engines, the two seat aircraft carried armament intended to inflict severe damage on its adversaries. Using the wing, tail, landing gear, systems and jigs of the Beaufort production could be achieved quickly and the first Beaufighter was flown after just six months in July 1939. Initially just exceeding 300 mph, speed quickly became less important than the radar for night fighters intercepting and engaging slow flying German bombers. After the battle of Britain the versatile Beaufighter was armed with torpedoes, rockets and other weapons for use in an attack role. In total 5,564 were built in England plus 364 in Australia, the last fighter and torpedo versions serving with Coastal Command, the Far East Air Force and the RAAF until 1960.
