Bravo Delta Models are exceptional museum quality and produced in dried mahogany. Each is carved, joined and sanded by hand. The deep, rich finish that distinguishes these models is created by the application of up to 35 coats of enamel and the hand painting all details. The final product is therefore beautifully turned out, fully built and durable on the desk top or open display. It is packed in a strong shipping carton. Every model has its own desk stand. All the propellers are made of wood and will rotate. Some of the jets have movable swing wings, also made of wood. A brass finish nameplate is available for most models.

Bravo Delta 1/40 Hawker Sea Hawk FGA Mk 4 Antics Special (ANTBD2)

A really good desk top model in hand painted solid mahogony of the Sea Hawk that was quite a remarkable aircraft, being Hawker's first jet. With unswept wings, it remained in service long after swept wing fighters had become almost universal. Few models have been made of the Sea Hawk and ours depicts the livery worn at the time of the Suez crisis. This aircraft, WV801, of No. 804 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, was flown by Lt. P. McKeown, RN, aboard HMS Eagle, Mediterranean, 1956. Exclusively produced for Antics and with only 25 made. Fly Navy! A good sized model, measuring 17" long x 15.5" x 2.5" (10" high on the display stand that is included! (432mm x 394mm x 70mm in metric)

Aeroplane magazine contained a very interesting article by a pilot, Air Vice-Marshall George Black - then a Flight Lieutenant, on flying the Sea Hawk in the Suez conflict. To quote; "I can't think of any other type I would wish to have flown into combat in 1956 - it was better suited to the ground-attack role than any other British aircraft then in service".
