On the 21st October 1805 a British Fleet, commanded by Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, not only destroyed the combined fleets of France and Spain but with them Napoleon's dreams of invading Britain. The bi-centenary in 2005 was celebrated with a Fleet Review at Spithead and at the Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth.
