Painted in the later BR large logo blue livery for highland line services, 37401 Mary Queen of Scots carries the Scotrail West Highland terrier motif applied initially by Glasgows' Eastfield shed. The 37/4 locomotives were fitted with electric train heating supply, allowing the old steam-heated coaches used on the long Scottish highland routes to be replaced with modern rolling stock.
