more | Italeri 1/72 German King Tiger Tank WW2 (7004)
This vehicle was one of the most powerful battle tanks in service during World War II. The King Tiger was armed with a formidable 88mm cannon, which enabled the tank to engage any allied tank even at long range. Because of its heavy armor, complex suspension systems and a complicated, maintenance-prone engine, the tank was non very reliable.

more | Italeri 1/72 Merkava 1 Main Battle Tank (7005) The Merkawa tank was developed by the Israel Army as a result of its experiences during the country’s thirty-plus years of wars with nearby Arab states who were being equipped with increasingly modern Russian-built means. The Merkawa boasts a massive armour, latest generation crew survival systems, plus leading-edge electronics for combat and night vision. In addition to this, it is highly mobile on the region’s sandy and rocky terrain, in spite of its size and considerable weight due to its extensive protective equipment.
more | Italeri 1/72 T-62 Main Battle Tank (7006) The T 62 was put into service in the late 60s by the former soviet army to operate side-by-side with and replace the old T 54s and T 55s, thousands of which were used by the red army and by the armies of the allied countries of the “Eastern Block”. With its low, receding shape, offering significant ballistic protection, the T 62 was also highly mobile which, combined with its excellent cannon, made it a dangerous opponent for the similar means employed by the NATO countries. Conversely, its armour was inadequate, being too thin to provide sufficient protection against the latest types of ammunition.

more | Italeri 1/72 German WW2 SDKFZ 234/1 Puma Armoured Car Kit (7029)
Possibly the best known of all German armoured cars was the PUMA. This eight-wheel vehicle was well ahead of its time and had much influence on British, French, Russian, Dutch and other armoured cars. The German war machinery was however no longer in a position to produce enough of these vehicles to substantially help the war effort.

more | Italeri 1/72 British Matilda Mk.2 Tank Kit (7035)
Deriving from the smaller Matilda Mk.I (considered a transition tank) the Mk.II went into service in 1938. Armed with a 40mm gun and with cast armour it was virtually immune to all anti tank weapons until the arrival of the German 88mm guns. It was widely used in North Africa, at least up until the battle of El Alamein; it was then progressively replaced by more modern and well equipped vehicles.

Development of the Panzer III began in the mid 1930s with the aim to make it the backbone of the armoured battalions of the Wehrmacht, alongside a smaller number of heavier tanks (Panzer IV). Initially armed with a 37mm cannon, the Panzer III moved rapidly to a 50mm cannon and in the upgraded versions (Ausf M and L), to the 75/24 gun with 64 rounds already used on the Panzer IV. Production ceased in August 1943.
