A sepcialliy commissioned limited editon model of a KMB Leyland Atlantean bus, as used in Hong Kong from 1973.
Leyland Atlantean 2L35 was supplied new to East Midland Motor Services in 1959 as their fleet numvber D139. One of five similar buses with Weymann Lowbridge bodies, purchsed by KMB in 1973. Lowbridge buses were purchased only because they were available, KMB not having any routes with restricted headroom.

Led by Chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr A A Durrant. CBE,Lt's design team embarked upon a project to produce a replacement for the RT bus, within the current dimensions of 27ft long by 8ft wide.It was technically advanced , had 64 seats , coil suspension giving a more comfortable ride, semi auto gearbox and hydraulic brakes.It was of chassisless construction with an intergral metal body made from high duty alloys.Two main subframes supported most of the running gear although certain items were attached directly to the underside of the body.
