The Dinorwic Quarry was set up to mine the slate found in abundance in parts of North Wales, with the finished slate moved by narrow gauge railways to ports and transhipment sites. Depicting dressed slates ready to leave the quarry, these Slate Loads are suitable for use either on their own as scenic decoration or loaded on to our Bachmann Narrow Gauge NG7 Dinorwic Wagons.

A very nice model of the Miniature Buffet car. These coaches have a small buffet counter and food storage area near the centre, able to serve basic food and refreshments. Bachmann's model features the smooth riding commonwealth cast steel bogie and the extensive water supply piping on the roof. NEM pockets are used to permit tension-lock of bar type couplers to be fitted.

This model carries the second standard BR coach livery of lined maroon, seen in the 1960's.

Second class coaches formed the backbone of the passenger carriage fleet. The use of open plan seating allowed all passengers to be seated at a table, plus provided seats for more passengers with less weight when compared to traditional side-corridor coaches. Later passengers began to appreciate the better field of view from the open style coaches, especially on scenic lines.

This coupling pack is the perfect accessory for Mark 3 or Mark 4 coaches and thusly any Intercity 125 or 225 consist. This pack does away with the somewhat intrusive tension lock coupling and replaces them with something that more resembles the full size buckeye couplings as found on the UK mainlines.

Highly detailed model of the GWR Churchward designed 43xx class 2-6-0 mogul locomotives, a class of over 300 engines which were used throughout the GWR system hauling secondary passenger and express freight services. The Dapol model features a fully detailed cab interior plus cab, buffers, steam pipes and other fittings appropriate for each locomotive modelled.
Early type GWR 43xx mogul number 5377 finished in British Railways plain black livery with early lion over wheel emblem.

The popular Class 46 Diesel Locomotive returns to the Bachmann Branchline range with this OO scale model depicting No. 46045 in BR Blue livery after its headcode panels were removed and sealed beam headlights were fitted. Together with the Class 44s and 45s the classes were commonly known as the ‘Peaks’, because the Class 44s had been named after mountains in England and Wales, however all but one of the 56 Class 46s went unnamed.

The standard straight is the basic section of straight track in the Setrack system. The ST5/ST6 points are made to the same length along the straight side, double straights ST11 are double this length.

This is the standard straight track length in the section track system, the same lengths is used by Bachmann, Hornby and Peco for their sectional track ranges. Track sections from all three manufacturers are fully compatible and can be used to expand the track supplied with train sets.
Sectional track standard points, Peco ST240/241 and Hornby R8072/8073 fit into the same track length along the straight side. The same length is also used for items like level crossings, making it easy to match up track lengths as you assemble a layout.
Peco use quality nickel-silver rail, providing good electrical contact and long lasting performance.
